Support Kincardine Trails Week and trails project to connect entire municipality

To the Editor:

The Municipality of Kincardine has declared June 4-12 as "Kincardine Trails Week". 

The Kincardine Trails Association has scheduled events throughout the week and they begin Sunday, June 5, with the Poker Rally Walk or Run. 

The fun begins at 1 p.m. at Geddes Park -  entry is by donation and the winning poker hand receives $100 BIA Bucks.  Whether you have the winning hand or not, you're going to feel like a winner as the Poker Rally route will take you over NEW sections of trails and a NEW, just-installed seasonal bridge (don't forget to ask about the beaver dam)!
 

Bring your camera along so you can submit your trail photos to info@kincardinetrails.net for another chance to win prizes. 
 

Trails Week is a promotion for the Kincardine to Inverhuron Provincial Park Trail. The trails association has pledged to raise $240,000 for the project and two months into the three-year campaign, the association has collected about $90,000 in donations and pledges. 
 

Please consider donating to this community-oriented project that will connect all three municipal wards with an active transportation route!
