Cheryl Bridge enjoyed spending Friday with her sisters, Diana Ellis of Auburn and Wendy Hooisma of Hanover. Lunch was at the newest restaurant, the old railway station down at the beach. The owners have done a magnificent job of restoration and that is somewhere for sure to visit while in Goderich. A beautiful location for a wedding.
Happy Birthday to Sandy Bridge who celebrated with family members by attending a Blue Jays game in Toronto.

This past week was a pretty busy one for the Purple Grove area with lots of visiting and family reunions.
Joyce and John Elliot attended the Stanley family reunion (started in 1946). It was at Ashfield Park with more than 140 present.
Guests with Joyce and John were: Lea and David French and children of Lakefield, Ontario; Steve and Janice Elliot of Blind River; and Brad and Pam Tollefson of Picayune, Mississippi.
Joyce and Jon were proud to attend Andre Becker's Grade 8 graduation at F.E. Madill Secondary School, Wingham, Tuesday, June 28.
Family members attended June Elliot's 93rd birthday, held at the home of Joyce and John. Also visiting this week, were Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Stanford of Calgary and Peter and Rosalind Dobson.
Visiting with Shirley and Doug MacDonald of Collingwood this week, were Helen Jamieson and Christine Starrett. Shirley and Doug attended the MacDonald family reunion at Lions Park, Point Clark. There were 99 people present.
David Rhody was home from Wakefield, Quebec, and visited with many family members this past week.
On the weekend, Marianne Rhody was home with her children, Skylar and Oliver, visiting with Janet and Wayne Rhody and family.
Wayne and Janet Rhody were very pleased to meet their first great-grandson, Silas Alvi (seven weeks old), when he visited this past weekend with his parents, Jake Alvi and Dahnis Root of Oshawa.

Our sympathy, as well, to Dorothea MacLeod and family on the death of her daughter, Betty.
It was good to see so many folks at the 90th birthday party for Margaret Small, Saturday.
Family and community members gathered Sunday to celebrate the upcoming marriage of Patricia Murray. She is one of the daughters of Karen and Grant Murray.
Thanks to the fellows who installed the new door at the community centre, and to the ones who keep the lawn and yard looking so good.
