About 25 cars at Tiverton Cruise Night; and more Tiverton news

Manor Musings

Despite the wet weather, the clouds and rain cleared by 4:30 p.m. just as the cars started lining up for the Sixth Annual Tiverton Cruise Night.

A good crowd came out to view more than 25 vehicles, and enjoy the music and refreshments. There were also a children’s play area and a groovy photo booth. Prizes were awarded and the sun stayed out.

Thank you, Mother Nature, and to all the volunteers and everyone involved to make it another great Cruise Night. See you next year!

The Tiverton Agricultural Society is looking for volunteers, any age, to help out at the fall fair the week of Sept. 26 through to Oct. 2. We would appreciate an hour, two hours or whatever you feel you could spare. Come out and meet, and work with, some great people. To volunteer a little of your time, call 519-368-7114.

The agricultural society is also looking for contestants between the ages of 17 to 23, to be our next fall fair ambassador.  This person must be single and reside in the former Bruce Township, Kincardine Township or the Village of Tiverton. The ambassador is eligible for a $500 “Continuing Education Bursary.” For more information or to register, call Laurie at 519-368-7980.
