It was a soggy affair at the 153rd Lucknow Fall Fair, Saturday, during the parade and animal shows, but participants persevered through the pouring rain.
Friday, was better weather for the amazing Power Paws Dog Show of Harriston. These energetic dogs and their handlers put on a spell-binding exhibition that thrilled the audience.

Youth took part in road hockey and tug-of-war, and there were lots of games to play inside at the Family Fun Zone.
Sarah Alton was crowned the new fall fair ambassador, with Carley Stutzman named runner-up. Drayton MacKenzie was named junior ambassador, with Madison Ritchie as runner-up. There was also an auction of the prize-winning pies and cakes, with Johnny Murray as auctioneer.
Saturday featured the parade through downtown Lucknow, with the fire trucks leading the way, followed by the Lucknow Legion Colour Party, Danceology dancers, scooters, floats, the pipe band and the Lucknow Central Public School band. There were also animal shows, including 4-H beef, 4-H poultry, sheep, beef invitational and dairy. The light horse show was postponed until Sunday due to the rain.
Afternoon events included inflatable games and rides, Snippity the Clown, face-painting, Lucknow Fire Department games, log-sawing contest, and the children's pedal tractor pull. In the evening, a youth dance was held at the Legion, while the Yuk Yuks Comedy Show was held at the arena.
The fall fair breakfast was held Sunday morning, with a community church service in the arena, pet show, and Touch the Truck display, as well as the light horse show.
