(KINCARDINE, ON) – Sept. 18, at 6:02 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Harbour Street in Kincardine, stopped a silver Nissan Murano.
The officer found that the driver didn’t have a licence and the vehicle licence plates were improper. The driver ran from police, but he was arrested without incident, following a short foot chase. A quantity of illicit street drugs and stolen property was found in the vehicle.
Twenty-nine-year-old Russell GRAY of Carrick Township was charged with three counts of possess controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of possess property obtained by crime, drive while disqualified, take motor vehicle without consent, obstruct peace officer, drive vehicle with no validated permit, use unauthorized plates, and fail to have insurance card. He was held in custody pending the result of a bail hearing Sept. 19.
