Kincardine pilot suffers minor injuries in crash near Brantford

A Kincardine pilot suffered minor injuries after his plane crashed near Brantford Monday.

The Brant OPP was called to a rural area near Highway 54 and Number 6 School Road in Brant County at about 1 p.m., Oct. 10, in response to the incident.

Police arrived with Brant County Fire Services and the Brant County Ambulance Service, and found that the single-engine home-built aircraft had flipped over in a farm field about one kilometre off the highway.

The sole occupant and pilot, a 58-year-old Kincardine man, was taken to local hospital with minor injuries.

The Transport Safety Board is investigating the accident.

Blake Evans, manager of the Kincardine Airport, said the plane is registered to Dick Wolff of Kincardine, but could not confirm if he was, in fact, flying the aircraft.
