South Bruce OPP report impaired drivers; daytime break-in; and stolen travel trailer
IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT

(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – On Nov. 11, at 8:46 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol, stopped a red Ford Focus on Bruce County Road 15 in Kincardine Township. 

The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Twenty-three-year-old Andrew CORMIER of the Municipality of Kincardine has been charged with operate over-80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 14 to answer to the charge.

IMPAIRED DRIVER CAUGHT AT RIDE CHECK

(GREENOCK TWP, ON) – Nov. 11, at 7:40 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE check on the Greenock-Brant Town Line in Greenock Township, when a silver Dodge Journey was stopped. 

The officers found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Sixty-three-year-old Thomas CHESNEY of the Municipality of Brockton has been charged with operate over-80 milligrams, open liquor and fail to produce insurance card. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 13 to answer to the charges.

POLICE INVESTIGATING DAYTIME BREAK-IN

(ELDERSLIE TWP, ON) – Nov. 11, at 6:38 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a break-in at a residence in the 200 block of Concession 6 in Elderslie Township. 

Sometime between 3-6 p.m. Nov. 11, the residence was entered. The list of missing items includes a black antique safe, Apple MacBook Air computer, Apple iPad, four bottles of liquor, and Canadian and American money. There is no estimate on the value of the stolen property available at this time.

POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN TRAVEL TRAILER

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Nov. 11, at 8:48 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft report at a residence in the 200 block of Park Street in Kincardine. 

Sometime between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 10, and 8:15 a.m. Nov. 11, a white/black, 19-foot, Sportsman Classic travel trailer with Licence No. L77 61H, was stolen from the residence driveway. The list of items taken with the trailer, includes a red Coleman barbecue, two stand-up paddle boards, and a Honda generator. The value of the stolen items is estimated to be more than $19,000.
