Christmas Tour of Homes raises almost $10,000 for Kincardine hospital
The Christmas Tour of Homes, organized by the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine hospital auxiliary, was a great success, with a total of 627 tickets sold and $9,800 collected, including some generous donations for the Kincardine hospital.
Held on the weekend, the tour allowed people to peek inside five area homes, decorated for Christmas by local businesses, and enjoy refreshments at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine.
The tour included the following homes:
The
Brown Family home on Parkwood Road, just off the B-line (Bruce County Road 23), decorated by J'Adorn in downtown Kincardine, featured so many beautiful Christmas decorations, from gorgeous Christmas trees and ornaments, to a dining table layout, candle holders, and even some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint under the tree!
The home of
Brad and Melanie Pyke on Knights Court, Kincardine, decorated by Kincardine Home Hardware, had numerous Christmas trees throughout, even in the washroom and the back porch, as well as nooks and crannies full of delightful Christmas decorations, candles, and home decor.
The home of
Gabrielle Nagy on Queen Street, Kincardine, decorated by Harbour Rose Boutique, was a warm, cozy delight, full of rich bed coverings and pillows, and wonderful Christmas decorations, even on the back deck.
The home of
Greg and Lori Smith on Olde Victoria Street, Kincardine, decorated by Jerome Flowers and Gifts, featured brilliantly-lit Christmas trees and decorations, as well as a beautiful kitchen display and welcoming outdoor lights.
The home of
John and Judith Bond on Carloway Trail, Inverlyn Estates, was decorated by the hospital auxiliary gift shop (Nancy Potter and Tracey Robinson), with flowers from Quinn Florist. It featured a Christmas tree full of gorgeous ornaments purchased by members of the auxiliary. Items under the tree came from Fincher's. After the tour, the Christmas tree was to be donated to a deserving family in the Kincardine area.
The refreshments at Knox Church were donated by auxiliary members, Sobeys Kincardine, Tim Hortons, Kwik K Variety and No Frills. The floral arrangements were by Quinn Florist.
