Trillium Court hosts Poppies for Peace art exhibit
Trillium Court Seniors' Community of Kincardine hosted a Remembrance Day Poppies for Peace Art Exhibit and Sale Friday afternoon, Nov. 11.
A good crowd turned out for the event which showcased paintings by local artists. Among these, were pieces by students of Bert deGraaf who teaches art classes at Trillium Court.
Michael Semenuk of London entertained the crowd, and refreshments included poppy cookies for sale.
Among those enjoying the music, were Janet Browne and Judy Lockhart of Kincardine, and their parents, Les and Jean Patterson. The Pattersons are residents of Trillium Court, and Les served in the Second World War - he was a sergeant in the army with the 48th Highlanders.
All proceeds from the event go to the Kincardine Legion.
