A.J. Casson print is next in Kincardine hospital auxiliary art program fund-raiser

The next print in the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine hospital auxiliary's Art/Easel Program fund-raiser is "White Pine" by A.J. Casson (above with auxiliary treasurer Wilma Manary, at right and below). It is located in the lobby at the hospital.

Casson arrived in Toronto in 1915 and became the youngest member of the famous 'Group of Seven' artists. He was well-known for his paintings and for his quotes: 'Don't paint something just because it happens to be in front of you. Nature is only there for you to choose from.'

The print currently at the Hawthorne Community Clinic is entitled, 'Savvy Lab.'

The auxiliary has a new location at the Best Western Plus Governor’s Inn. The print there is entitled, 'Stormy Weather.'

The starting bid for each of the three prints is $200 and they are on display until Dec. 12.
