The Kincardine Community Singers are in the final rehearsals for their Christmas concert, "Christmas on Broadway," which runs Dec. 10-11, at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine.
While the theme is "Christmas on Broadway," the choir, under the direction of Patt Lowry, with accompanist Miriam Barrie, will also be performing a number of traditional Christmas carols, some of them with a new twist.
The range of Christmas music extends from “Rockin' Jerusalem” to “Sanctus,” and an a cappella version of “Angels Singin' Glory.”
From the Broadway stage, there will be such favourites as “White Christmas,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “My Favourite Things,” and many more.
The Saturday, Dec. 10, matinee concert begins at 3 p.m., and the Sunday, Dec. 11, performance is at 7:30 p.m.
Advance tickets are $15 each for adults and $5 each for children under the age of 12. They can be purchased at Jerome Flowers in Kincardine, from any of the choir members, or on-line at KincardineCommunitySingers.ca. Tickets at the door are $18 each.
