Rainy, cold night for Lucknow Santa Claus Parade

Rainy, cold night for Lucknow Santa Claus Parade
It was a night for umbrellas and mittens, as the Lucknow Santa Claus Parade marched down the village's main street amid the cold temperature and the pouring rain.

The parade featured about 20 floats, including businesses and organizations, as well as the Lucknow Central Public School band, the dancers of Danceology, the Lucknow and Ripley Agricultural Societies, and a few horses and riders.

The Jolly Old Elf and Mrs. Claus rode on the final float with their Elves and Reindeer.

After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted youngsters inside the Lucknow Arena where it was warm and dry, and the Elves handed out candy.

The Ripley Christmas Celebration and Parade of Lights is Sunday night, Nov. 27, at 6 p.m., and the Kincardine Santa Claus Parade is Dec. 3 at 6:30 p.m.
