South Bruce OPP report unlicensed driver; theft of tools; and collision with tree

UNLICENSED DRIVER TRIES TO AVOID RIDE CHECKPOINT

(BRANT TWP, ON) – Nov. 27, at 3:37 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE check on the Airport Road in Brant Township, when they noticed a grey Chevrolet Tahoe attempting to avoid the checkpoint. 

Officers stopped the vehicle and found that the driver was unlicensed. Twenty-nine-year-old Andrew BAUMAN of Brockton was charged for driving without a licence.

DEWALT TOOLS STOLEN

(TEESWATER, ON) – Nov. 24, at 9:31 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at a residence along Brownlee Street in Teeswater. 

Sometime between 8 a.m. Nov. 19, and 10 p.m. Nov. 20, an attached garage was entered. The list of missing property includes a number of battery-powered, yellow, Dewalt tools; saws-all, jig saw, half-inch impact driver, skill saw and chargers. The value of the stolen tools is estimated to be $2,000.

POLICE INVESTIGATE VEHICLE COLLISION WITH TREE

(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – Nov. 24, at 8:20 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a vehicle striking a tree along Bruce County Road 23 in Kincardine Township. 

Officers arrived to find that a grey Ford Mustang had left the roadway and struck a tree before coming to rest. Twenty-eight-year-old Grey HARVILLA of Kincardine was charged with careless driving. There were no injuries reported at the scene.
