More than 40 entries in Kincardine Santa Claus Parade

It was a cold and breezy night for the Kincardine Santa Claus Parade, but that didn't stop the huge crowd that turned out for the event Saturday evening.

More than 40 floats, featuring bands, groups, organizations, schools and businesses, wended their way from the Sutton Park Mall parking lot to Victoria Park, much to the delight of the children and adults along the parade route.

Organized by the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce, the theme this year was "Santa at the Beach," and many floats sported beach umbrellas and pool noodles, while several brave souls wore shorts and sandals.

Santa Claus and his reindeer brought up the end of the parade, and then Santa visited with the children inside the Scougall Gallery at the Kincardine Arts Centre, with chamber staff handing out candy.
