South Bruce OPP report Kincardine break-in; and recovery of stolen property in Lucknow

POLICE INVESTIGATING BREAK-IN

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Dec. 4, at 7:56 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a break-in at a residence in the 600 block of Scott Street in Kincardine. 

Sometime between Nov. 24 at Noon, and Dec. at 6 p.m., the residence was forcibly entered. The list of property taken includes a silver Taugher wrist watch, two external hard drives, silver USB hub, a quantity of change, and a quantity of liquor. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be more than $2,000.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO RECOVERY OF STOLEN PROPERTY

(LUCKNOW, ON) – Nov. 29, at 1:09 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol, stopped a green Chevrolet Blazer along Campbell Street in Lucknow. The officer noted that the vehicle licence plate had been reported stolen. 

As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Benjamin POYNTON of Huron-Kinloss Township has been charged with three counts of possessing stolen property, drive while disqualified, and operate vehicle with prohibited weapon. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing Nov. 30.
