Fire destroys $300,000 home on 12th Concession in Municipality of Kincardine

Fire has destroyed a $300,000 home on the 12th Concession of Bruce Township in the Municipality of Kincardine.

Kincardine fire chief Kent Padfield said firefighters were called to the scene Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 5:20 p.m.

“The first arriving fire crews found the home fully involved," he said. Crews from Tiverton and Kincardine fire stations extinguished the blaze in approximately two hours. Mutual aid was requested from the Saugeen Shores Fire Department and Paisley Fire Department for water tankers to supply water to the fire scene.

There were no injuries, said Padfield, but the home was destroyed.

The fire is being investigated with the assistance of the Fire Investigations Section of the Office of the Fire Marshall and Emergency Management, and the OPP.
