Tiverton news
Well, the Bruce County weather has us in its grip again. The weather this past week has been horrendous. I, for one, got my vehicle stuck in the snow and had to have it pulled out. My friend, Rachel, came to rescue me and her vehicle also got stuck in the snow on Bruce County Road 15. Thankfully, her son, Drew Lynch, and his friend, Sean Jackson, came to our rescue and pulled both vehicles out.
While we were waiting for them, a Bruce County Roads worker came and sat with his truck next to us with the lights flashing. Thank you for that. Once they got our vehicles out of the snow banks, Drew and Sean rescued other people along Bruce County Road 15 whose vehicles had suffered the same fate as ours did. Another driver also stopped to offer assistance. There is no shortage of heroes in Bruce County in the winter.
On a lighter note, has anyone else had the misfortune of having their mailbox mowed down by the snowplows? I wonder if there is some kind of scorecard they keep and compare them at the end of the week. We do appreciate the roads being plowed, though, so have your fun!
