Huron OPP report two thefts in Goderich

BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT AT SKIPPERS IN GODERICH

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County OPP officers and members of the Huron OPP Property Crimes Unit are currently investigating a break, enter and theft that happened earlier this week at Skippers Restaurant on Victoria Street North in Goderich. 

Sometime between 7 p.m. Jan. 10, and 4:15 a.m. Jan. 11, someone forced entry into the restaurant by smashing through a ground floor window. Once inside, the thief stole the cash float from the register and left through a rear door. A quantity of cash, consisting mainly of coins, was stolen.

TOOLS STOLEN FROM CONSTRUCTION SITE

(GODERICH, ON) -  Huron County OPP officers are currently investigating a break, enter and theft that happened at a construction site on Parsons Court in Goderich. 

Sometime between Jan. 4-7, someone went to the job site and located a storage trailer on the property. Upon gaining access to the trailer, the thief or thieves stole approximately $8,000 worth of power tools.

Some of the stolen tools included:
 

• A yellow 5,000-watt generator
• A Stihl 14” concrete saw
• Six - 20-volt Dewalt impact drivers
• Four – 20-volt Dewalt drills
• Two – 20-volt Dewalt grinders
• A 20-volt Dewalt sawzall
• A 20-volt Dewalt rotary hammer drill
• A laser level
• Nineteen 20-volt batteries
• Six chargers
