New owner of building responds to "costume change" story
To the Editor:
RE: "Kincardine Theatre Guild faces major costume change as storage area is sold"
,
Yes we are about to acquire the building as one of our investments in Kincardine. We believe that, largely in part to Bruce Power, our community is going to flourish and we are pleased to have a small part in this.

As most know, we have been operating Victoria Park Laundry Services and the 27-room Victoria Park Lodge and are now looking to launch the next phase. So, yes, part of the business plan is to utilize the whole building.

We are opening a new section of Victoria Park Laundry Service as a wash-and-fold service, and plan to convert the unusable unfinished top floor into first-class offices. We have been approached by a local company that is also bringing investments and jobs to town. In anticipation of future growth, it needs downtown office space.

If you haven't noticed yet, we have started with some improvement and in the near future, you will see some additional changes with the addition of a new entrance and windows and a bit of a facelift for the building.

We understand the  costume storage will need to move and I have spoken to Matt Harvey and have offered some options and suggestions to the theatre guild to assist in transition. As of yet, I haven't heard back.

It is exciting to be part of the offshoot of the Bruce Power refurbishment, ensuring its sustainability, and thus, the sustainability of our town, for the next 40 years.
