Winners announced in Huron-Kinloss Holiday Shopping Pass promotion

The 2016 Lucknow and Ripley Holiday Shopping Pass promotion ended Jan. 15, and three lucky ladies have each won a $150 shopping spree in Huron-Kinloss.

The winners are Cathy Hill of Lucknow, Kendra Robinson of Belgrave, and Patricia Yeoman of Aurora.

Residents and visitors were encouraged to make purchases between Nov. 1 and Dec. 24 at local businesses, and for each $10 they spent, they received a “punch” on their Holiday Shopping Pass. Once they spent $150, they could submit their completed pass to the township for a chance to win one of three $150 shopping sprees.

A total of 21 businesses in Lucknow and 13 businesses in the Ripley area participated.

Business and economic officer Taralyn Cronin said the township received a total of 981 passes, of which 966 were fully completed. This represents $146,100 spent in Lucknow, Ripley and the lakeshore area during the holiday season.

The township appreciates everyone who participated in this contest and shopped local this holiday season.
