Community Foundation Grey Bruce welcomes applications before April 15 deadline

Community Foundation Grey Bruce invites charities and non-profit organizations across Grey and Bruce counties to apply for grants before the spring deadline of April 15.

An applicant’s project must benefit local communities in one of the following categories: arts and culture, recreation, the well-being of children and youth, reduction of poverty, education, the environment, or health and wellness of the people of Grey Bruce.

The foundation produced its first Vital Signs report in 2016, containing data on health and wellness, arts and culture, education and life-long learning, living standards, the environment, and community connections in the region. The statistics gathered in the Vital Signs report are indicative of the needs in this area. Applicants are asked to describe how their project addresses one of the indicators of community vitality as outlined in Vital Signs.

The on-line grant application will be open from Jan. 30 to April 15. Organizations may access the on-line application form, assessment criteria and full Vital Signs report at www.communityfoundationgreybruce.com

The foundation advises applicants to confirm the eligibility of their project before beginning the application process, by contacting the foundation office at 519-371-7203 during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
