Thanks for the streetlights on Bruce Avenue, says reader

Hi Liz:

I just want to comment on the streetlights recently installed on Bruce Avenue in Kincardine.

I have written several letters to the Municipality of Kincardine, to Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson and to the MTO (Ministry of Transportation Ontario), requesting these lights be put up. After being told by the MTO that there wasn't enough traffic to warrant this, I was pleasantly surprised when they were installed.

This is a busy street and the intersection was difficult to find at night from Highway 21 because it's such a dark corner. As well, there is increased traffic in this part of town now, and Bruce Avenue is a direct access road to the fire station.

Tonight (Feb. 7), while returning to town, it was great to turn onto a better-lit intersection.

To whoever was responsible for the installation, I am sure many people, as well as myself, are most appreciative.
