Kincardine area in the glorious grip of a February thaw

The Kincardine area is enjoying weather that is more like spring or summer, rather than winter, as glorious sunshine and a balmy 14-degrees Celsius blew through Wednesday.

There are banks of snow and ice in Lake Huron, along the shoreline at the Kincardine Harbour, in direct contrast to the sandy beach adjacent to them.

Wednesday afternoon, people were out enjoying a stroll along the boardwalk beside Reunion Park at the harbour, as well as walking along the south pier, and the beach, itself.

The forecast calls for the temperature to turn colder on the weekend, but then warm up again next week with rain.
