Man who died in Goderich salt mine identified as Darcy Clancy of Chepstow

(GODERICH, ON) - The man who died at the Compass Minerals' Salt Mine in Goderich, has been identified as 36-year-old Darcy Clancy of Chepstow.

The Huron County OPP and the Ontario Ministry of Labour continue to investigate the sudden death that happened Saturday, March 18, at about 6:15 a.m., at the salt mine located at 300 North Harbour road in Goderich.
 
Police said the injured man was brought up to the surface and was immediately transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
 
A post-mortem examination was scheduled to take place Monday, March 20.
