Huron Heights students bring home 23 medals from junior regional science fair

Students in Grades 4-6 at Huron Heights Public School, Kincardine, proudly brought home 23 medals from the Bluewater Regional Junior Science and Technology Fair, held Wednesday, April 12, in Owen Sound.

Carter Frook had the lone gold medal.

Winning silver, were Emma LeBrasceur, Jacob Wencel, Ela Jones, Casey Beisel, Dayle Chinnick, Charlie Hall-Elwood, Harleen Gill and Pankti Shah.

Winning bronze, were Olivia Snider, Jen McLarty, Zarya Usman, Burton Bronkhorst and Beckett Graham, Mylee Knoop, Carissa Thomas, Addyson Richards, Alora Myall, Brandon Bishop and Nolan Janes, Caden Jacobson, Aurelie Bronkhorst and Aarelyn Wade.

The junior gold-medal winners are too young to advance to the Canada-wide Science Fair.

However, two senior students at Huron Heights, Louisa Matheson and Etienne Joulin, won gold in Owen Sound and are eligible for the national event in Regina, Saskatchewan, May 14-20.
