South Bruce OPP report impaired driver; school bus violation; and two-vehicle crash

IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT
 
(ELDERSLIE TWP, ON) - April 23, at 12:56 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 10 in Elderslie Township, stopped a black Dodge Ram pick-up truck. 

The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Twenty-one-year-old Dustin GUSE of Kincardine has been charged with operate over-80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court May 31, to answer to the charge.

 DRIVER CHARGED FOR SCHOOL BUS VIOLATION
 
(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) - March 29, at 8:11 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a grey Toyota car driving past a stopped school bus on Bruce County Road 23 in Kincardine Township.
 
The investigation culminated April 23, with a charge under the Highway Traffic Act. Thirty-four-year-old Rebecca JONES of Calgary, Alberta, was charged with failing to stop for a school bus.

DRIVER CHARGED AFTER TWO-VEHICLE CRASH
 
(SAUGEEN TWP, ON) - April 21, at 3:43 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 21 and Concession 2, Saugeen Township. 

Officers attended with members of Saugeen Shores Police and Bruce County paramedics, to find a blue Ford F150 pick-up truck and a grey Volkswagen Jetta involved in the crash.

The driver of the Ford pick-up, 35-year-old Michael MERLE of St. Jude, Quebec, was charged with fail to stop for Stop sign. The driver of the Jetta had minor injuries assessed at a local hospital.
