FIVE MEN FACING ASSAULT CHARGES
(CULROSS TWP, ON) - April 24, at 10:37 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received a report that five men tried to force their way into a Huron-Bruce Road home in Culross Township and assaulted the homeowner with a weapon. They had left in a white Ford F250 pick-up truck before police arrived.
The truck was located in the Town of Clinton where Huron OPP arrested the men without incident.
Twenty-two-year-old Skylar GEDDES of Goderich, 25-year-old Wayne GEDDES of Goderich, 25-year-old Kyle HODGES of Goderich, 26-year-old Ian REINSMA of Central Huron, and and 29-year-old Curtis SNELL of Bluewater Municipality were all charged with break and enter, and assault with a weapon.
The accused were held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing April 25.
The homeowner reported minor injuries at the scene.
THREE MALES FACING CRIMINAL CHARGES FOR MISCHIEF
(TARA, ON) - April 18, at 7:16 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received a report of property damage in the Village of Tara between the late evening hours of April 15, and early morning hours of April 16, 2017.
Officers arrived and noted that tusks were removed from a large woolly mammoth and a memorial bench had been damaged. As a result of an investigation by the OPP Community Street Crime Unit - Grey Bruce, three males are facing criminal charges.
Twenty-year-old Cale BARFOOT of Georgian Bluffs Township was charged with mischief under $5,000.
An 18-year-old South Bruce Peninsula male was charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000.
An 18-year-old Arran-Elderslie male was charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000.
Each of the accused is scheduled to appear in court June 5, to answer to the charges.
POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN PICK-UP TRUCK
(LUCKNOW, ON) - April 26, at 9:26 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft from Snobelen Farms located along Havelock Street in Lucknow.
Sometime between 5:30-6 a.m. April 26, a white GMC Sierra pick-up truck with Licence No. AL97669, was taken. The truck has "Snobelen Farms" written in green letters along both sides. There is no estimate on the value of the stolen truck at this time.
DRIVER CHARGED AFTER TWO-VEHICLE CRASH
(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) - April 23, at 1:26 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a two-vehicle crash along Highway 21 in Kincardine Township.
Officers arrived with Bruce County paramedics to find that a silver Dodge Caravan and a brown GMC Sierra pick-up truck were involved in the crash. The driver of the Caravan, 65-year-old Shirley HAMMOND of Mapleton Township, was charged with fail to yield. There were no serious injuries reported at the scene.
