Bruce Community Futures and municipal partners launch Kincardine Business Survey

The Bruce Community Futures Development Corporation (Bruce CFDC), in partnership with the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce, the Kincardine Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the Municipality of Kincardine, has launched the “Municipality of Kincardine Business Survey 2017.”

The on-line survey will target business owners and operators in the municipality and is designed to formulate a picture of the local business climate, says Barb Fisher, general manager of Bruce CFDC. It will identify major issues that may be impeding the success or expansion of local business operations and will seek input related to the needs and wants of the respondents.

Business Survey Goals

Information gathered through this survey is designed to enable the municipality and its community partners to assist local businesses in identifying and realizing growth potential and opportunities.

The survey:
 

• Covers all conditions, services and support initiatives that impact local businesses in the Municipality of Kincardine
• Has a section dedicated to tourism related to the municipality
• Will respect anonymity in order to draw as unfettered a picture of the existing climate as possible
• Begins May 17 and will allow invited respondents to fill out the survey on-line until June 9

The survey information will help establish an economic baseline for Kincardine businesses, says Fisher. It will set the stage for planning and the creation of future activities that will help new businesses, build business retention, and enable business expansion in Kincardine.

The final report will be presented to Kincardine council and the community economic development committee. It will also be posted on the Bruce CFDC website for public review.
