Huron OPP investigating fatality east of Dungannon

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) - The Huron County OPP is investigating a fatality that killed a 76-year-old man of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
 
Shortly after 7 p.m., June 13, police, Huron County Paramedic Services and the North Huron Fire Department responded to the crash scene on St. Augustine Line just north of Dungannon Road.
 
Investigators have determined the lone occupant/male driver was travelling southbound on St. Augustine Line when he lost control of his Ford F-150 pick-up truck. The vehicle left the gravel roadway, rolled into the east ditch and came to rest on the driver's side. The driver was ejected when the vehicle rolled.
 
The male driver died at the scene. He has been identified as William SHOWERS, 76, of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.  
 
A post-mortem examination was scheduled for Wednesday morning, June 14, in London.
 
Investigators from the West Region OPP Technical Collision Investigation Team responded to the scene to assist with the collision investigation.
