The clouds darkened the sky, but the rain held off Saturday morning for the 23rd annual Kincardine Teddy Bear Parade, at Victoria Park.
Hundreds of children, parents and families, and teddy bears, filled the park prior to the start of the parade. Youth with the Kincardine summer playground program were kept busy doing face-painting, while the Queen Street Vet Clinic checked over the bears to ensure they were able to complete the parade.
Kruz (Andy Kruzynski) of Kincardine led the parade in his special cruiser, complete with a Canine Unit in the back,
Once they returned to the park, each participant received treats and a T-shirt, while prizes were awarded for the largest bear, smallest bear, best-decorated wagon/bike/scooter, and best costume.
The youngest participant was two-week-old Niamh McGinn, daughter of Ryan and Tara McGinn of Kincardine.
The eldest participant was 85-year-old Anco Guikema of Kincardine.
And the participant who travelled the furthest, was three-and-a-half-year-old Cameron Lucclesi of Scotland.
