South Bruce OPP report theft of ATV; and raid nets $60,000 in illegal drugs
POLICE INVESTIGATING OVERNIGHT THEFT OF ATV
 
(LUCKNOW, ON) - June 28, at 8:22 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at a residence along Somerville Street in Lucknow. 

Sometime between 6 p.m. June 27, and 8 a.m. June 28, a red Kawasaki KBD 750 All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), with Licence No. 0EV29, was taken. There is no estimated value for the stolen ATV available at this time.
 
OPP DRUG WARRANT EXECUTED
 
(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) - June 28, members of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau - Community Street Crimes Unit, West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit and West Region OPP Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property along Highway 21 in Kincardine Township. 
 
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized cocaine, cannabis marijuana and hashish. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances, was $60,940.00. 
 
Police also seized offence-related property that consisted of trafficking paraphernalia, cash and prohibited weapons.
                                                                                                               
Sixty-year-old Nicola MALFARA of Kincardine Township was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm and possession of property obtained by crime.
 
He was held in custody pending the result of a bail hearing June 28.
