Thousands crowded Victoria Park, Saturday night, to hear The Trews, the headline act at the Kincardine Scottish Festival.
This fabulous, well-known rock-and-roll band from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, now based in Hamilton, captivated the crowd with its fantastic stage presence, amazing music, and superb vocals.
At the end of the show, the audience shouted for more, and the band complied with a thrilling a cappella encore that brought down the house.
The Trews features vocalist Colin MacDonald, John-Angus MacDonald on guitar, Jack Syperek on bass, Gavin Maguire on drums, and Jeff Heisholt on keyboard. The band was originally called "One I'd Trouser," a line taken from a song in Monty Python's "The Meaning Of Life". The group changed its name to "Trouser," and eventually The Trews.

Major crowd-pleasers were the dynamic and energetic Irish sisters of The Screaming Orphans, and the wild and zany British Buckets who called themselves the English Trews!
