Bruce County's new website is ready to be discovered
Bruce County council has officially launched its redesigned website.
“Bruce County’s new website is here and it’s been refreshed with the public user in mind,” said warden Mitch Twolan at the meeting July 6 in Ripley.
Users will immediately notice:
- The infusion of the new Bruce County brand through pictures and language
- Streamlined menus – designed on how users might find and look for information
- A powerful yet simple search feature
- A “Talk to Us” feature for the public, which is a link to share “Bruce Ideas” or forward concerns, compliments or complaints
- Updated webcasts of council meetings and co-ordinated agendas and meeting minutes
- A whole host of smaller but impactful changes, all to make the user’s experience of the Bruce County site that much better

County information technology staff Rick Aitken and Paul McGrath guided council through the official launch of the website at the meeting.
“Redesigning a website requires innovative thinking and a curiosity to understand how the public naturally navigates through the linked information,” said county chief administrative officer Kelley Coulter. “This is an inspiring day. The new website is a showcase to the public about Bruce County; the place and the organization."
