Bruce Power employees raise $10,000 for Red Cross fire relief in B.C.
Bruce Power employees once again showed their compassion for fellow Canadians Thursday by donating $10,000 to the Red Cross for fire relief in British Columbia.
“Much like they did last year during the devastating wildfires in Alberta, our employees have banded together to ensure that thousands of displaced British Columbians can access the necessary supplies for their families,” said James Scongack, vice-president, corporate affairs and environment. “We encourage the community to donate through the Bruce Power portal on the Red Cross’ website at
www.redcross.ca/BCFires/BrucePower.”
"Donations will provide immediate relief, such as cots, blankets, and family reunification, as well as financial assistance so individuals and families can get the food, clothing, shelter, and anything else that can help them recover from this tragedy," states the Red Cross website.
