Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary to John and Arla Dahmer! Family surprised them with a party last weekend. Also Happy Wedding Anniversary to Ian and Jean MacDonald, Glen and Sarah Farrell, and Reine and Ron DeGans!

Our  deepest sympathy to the family of Jane Van Sickle. She will be greatly missed. Also, sympathy to the family of Don Paquette of Kincardine.

What a delight to drive around the countryside and see all the flags flying and the lovely red-and-white flower displays. By the way, don’t the planters in Ripley and Lucknow look great? Thanks to all the horticultural society folks for your hard work.
 
A family gathering was held Sunday afternoon, at the home of Jim and Fran Farrell, with Derk and Lillian Logtenberg; Ken, Agnes and Alexis Logtenberg; Melissa and Sam Burmaster; Crystal, Danica and Clara Farrell; Carmen Farrell-Knapp; Glen, Sarah, Paisley and Nora Farrell; Chris, Tyson and Cooper VandeSype; Patrick Farrell and friend, Melanie, of Hamilton; and Garry and Laura Farrell of Port Hope.
 
The McNeil family - Heather Holme Holsteins of Goderich - welcomed a great crowd Saturday afternoon to see the new dairy barn. The 4-H Dairy Clubs of Huron and Perth counties treated visitors with grilled cheese sandwiches and milkshakes at the event.
 
Marilyn and Don Reid attended the School Buddies gathering at Holmesville last week.
 
The folks from our area who attended the concert at the Kingsbridge Centre last week appreciated the musical talent of the Irish Cowboys.

Dianne and Wayne Orr of Holstein visited with their cousin, Mary Anne Kukoly, Sunday.
