Brockton woman charged after stolen truck recovered in Goderich
(GODERICH, ON) - The Huron County OPP has charged a Brockton woman with Possession of Stolen Property following the recovery of a stolen pick-up truck in Goderich, Thursday night.

Aug. 10, at 8:45 p.m., Huron OPP officers responded to Albert Street North, investigating the possibility of a stolen truck on the property. Officers received information from an alert witness who reported seeing someone on the property who was using a can of spray paint to paint a Chevrolet Sierra.

Police arrived on scene and caught the woman in the act of "spray bombing" the vehicle. Upon further investigation, officers determined the pick-up had been reported stolen from Cranbrook Road in Morris-Turnberry, Aug. 6.

As a result, 43-year-old Sharon PREISS of Brockton has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property. She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for Oct. 2, at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.

If you see something, hear something or find something suspicious, report it to police. You could help solve a crime, just as in this case.

*THIS CHARGE HAS YET TO BE PROVEN IN COURT*
