The Ripley-Huron Community School held its Meet The Teacher Night and Barbecue, Wednesday. Welcome to the new principal, Tanya Leppington, and five new teachers this year. A good turn-out and great weather accompanied the Grade 7/8 bake sale and book fair held in the library, and for the raffle for two tickets for the Ripley Fall Fair.

A very enjoyable time was had at the Volunteer Appreciation Event at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre, Sunday.

Joyce Farrell visited with Irene Boyle at Brucelea Haven last week.

Sheena, William and Alayna Houghton visited with Doug and Shirley MacDonald last weekend.

John and Joyce Farrell enjoyed a family time with Jenny and Jeremiah Nahwegahbow and their four children of Elmira. A birthday dinner was held at the home of John and Joyce to honor Jenny Nahwegahbow, Andrew Becker and John Lise, Sunday.

Deanna Scott and friends travelled to Orillia to attend the Natalie MacMaster concert, and then spend a couple of days enjoying Orillia and surrounding area.

Don and Marilyn Reid celebrated birthdays for Brianna and Ed, at the home of Ed and Sandra Husk, Sunday,

Cheryl, Holly and Gavin Bridge attended the baby shower for Jaxson at the home of his parents, Chris and Tonya Coulthard Mathewson, in London, Sunday. Also attending, were great-grandma, Viola Bridge of RVilla, and aunts and cousins from the Ripley area and Lion's Head.

Just a reminder to all the ladies of the community, to drop off your donated pies for the Ripley-Huron Fall Fair food booth in the kitchen at the Ripley Complex, Saturday morning. See you at the fair!

Sam and Heather Finnie have returned from a Century 21 Conference in Quebec City. While there, they stayed with, and had a great visit with, Heather's cousin, Susan Turland. En route to and from, they visited with Jim Finnie's family in Stittsville, and Kerry Boyle and Jes Alexant in Franklin, Vermont.
