Bruce Power employees raise $25,000 for United Way at golf tournament
Bruce Power employees enjoyed the beautiful weather Friday, Sept. 22, as they hit the links for a good cause, in Kincardine and Saugeen Shores.

About 180 employees took to Ainsdale Golf Course and the Saugeen Golf Club for a four-player scramble, raising $25,000 for the United Way of Bruce Grey at the annual Bruce Power Classic Golf Tournament.

“Our employee tournament is a fun day on the golf course that has the added benefit of raising funds for a very worthy cause," said Chris Mercanti, section manager, community and indigenous relations. "Especially as the United Way prepares for the winter season which can be difficult for many local residents.

"Our employees take seriously their role in providing low-cost, carbon-free electricity to Ontarians while also investing in an organization like the United Way that does so much to support people in our communities.”
