Weather clears as it always does for Ripley-Huron Fall Fair parade
It never rains on the Ripley-Huron Fall Fair parade, and this year was no exception.
Saturday morning was chilly as people lined Queen and Huron Streets in downtown Ripley in anticipation of the parade.
But by the time the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band began to lead the mammoth parade to the fairgrounds, it was a warm, sunny day!
Besides the Kincardine Scottish, there were the Teeswater Highlanders and the Brussels Legion Pipe Band, as well as dignitaries, clowns, the Point Clark Express, numerous business and organizational floats, colourful bikes and four-wheelers, a mouse, a clown, and chickens.
The parade also featured the new Ripley-Huron Fall Fair ambassador, Jennelle Smeltzer, last year's ambassador, Bethany Wilken, along with the Prince and Princess, Chris Searson and Lily Nixon, teams of horses, antique and vintage vehicles, and much more.
Following the parade, there were the opening ceremonies and a lot of great activities and events. Stay tuned for more coverage of the Ripley-Huron Fall Fair in the Kincardine Record.
