Lake Huron Coastal Centre hosting second annual Coastal Municipal Forum
The Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation is hosting its second annual Coastal Municipal Forum Thursday, Oct. 19, in Goderich.

This event welcomes delegates from coastal municipalities, First Nations, and Métis, providing an opportunity for representatives to gather and discuss issues and positive changes happening in their areas.

Topics this year will include: sand beaches and dunes, bluffs, gullies, and cobble beaches.

Judy Keightley, an Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer, will attend the event and formally present the coastal centre with a plaque to mark the work done as a result of recently receiving a grant from the foundation. Erinn Lawrie, executive director, and Hannah Cann, coastal stewardship co-ordinator, of the coastal centre, will be talking about this new initiative and its expected impact within the community.

The Coastal Municipal Forum runs Thursday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Beach Street Station Restaurant, 2 Beach Street, Goderich.
