South Bruce OPP report impaired driver; seek help in suspicious fire case
IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT
(HURON TWP, ON) - Oct. 12, at 10:29 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a possible impaired driver driving a white Honda Civic on Highway 21.
The vehicle was located and stopped on Highway 21 in Huron Township. The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Twenty-five-year-old Mikayla PAUPST of Owen Sound was charged with impaired operation and operate over-80 milligrams. She is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 1, to answer to the charges.

OPP SEEKING PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE WITH SUSPICIOUS STRUCTURE FIRE
(MUNICIPALITY OF ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - May 22, at 9:24 a.m., the South Bruce OPP, together with the Chesley Fire Department, Elmwood Fire Department and the Tara Fire Department, responded to the report of a structure fire on Fourth Street SE in the Municipality Arran-Elderslie.
The structure, a detached residence, was occupied by a lone 18-year-old man who exited through a second-storey window in an effort to escape the fire. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries and transported to hospital for further examination.
The Ontario Fire Marshall's Office investigated the scene. The cause of the fire was undetermined.
