Dr. Christine Kennedy no longer with Grey Bruce Health Unit

After careful deliberation, the board of health for the Grey Bruce Health Unit, has determined that new leadership direction is warranted, and as a result, Dr. Christine Kennedy (above) is no longer with the organization.

Kennedy took on the position of Grey-Bruce medical officer of health in July, 2016, when Dr. Hazel Lynn retired.

In a press release, issued Friday afternoon, the board stated it will immediately begin a search for a new medical officer of health.

Meanwhile, Lynn has agreed to fulfill the role of acting medical officer of health while the organization finds a permanent replacement. Lynn was appointed to that role in September, for a term of less than six months.

Dr. Ian Arra is continuing in the position of physician consultant.
