Halloween hijinks and cheque presentations
Members of the Kincardine Celebration Singers were decked out in their Halloween finest during the rehearsal, Monday afternoon, Oct. 30, at Kincardine Baptist Church.
While they enjoyed some fun in their hilarious costumes, they were serious about practising for their Christmas Concert, "Happiness is Singing," celebrating 25 years of singing together.
The choir is under the direction of Willa Schoffer, with accompanist Katherine Gowing.
The concert will be performed three times: Monday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m., at RVilla in Ripley; Sunday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m., at Kincardine Baptist Church; and Monday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m., at Trillium Court Seniors' Community, Kincardine.
Meanwhile, two cheque presentations were made this past week.
The first was from the Havelock Chapter, No. 63, of the Royal Arch Masons who donated $2,000 to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation to refurbish a patient room at the Kincardine hospital.
The second was from the Power Workers' Union who made a donation to the Kincardine Curling Club.
