Tiverton news

Well it’s here, WINTER! It sure is pretty but as we all know, we experience “lake-effect” snow and our roads are often closed, sometimes for days at a time. This little bit of snowfall should remind everyone to be prepared this winter. Always keep a necessary travel kit in your vehicle at all times. I, for one, have been either stuck in a snow drift or somewhere other than home. Here is a great site to help you be prepared: www.tc.gc.ca/eng/mediaroom/video-roadsafety

Save the Date! Sunday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m., the 9th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at St. Andrews Park, Tiverton. Everyone is welcome to attend. Enjoy the singing of Christmas Carols, while Santa Claus visits from the North Pole to countdown with the children and light the OPG Christmas Tree. Thank you, in advance, to the Tiverton Baptist Church volunteers for providing the sound system and refreshments. We hope this new date brings out the village and surrounding residents to celebrate!
