HuronTel announces expansion into Kincardine

HuronTel is expanding into Kincardine.

General manager Glenn Grubb said Monday that on March 19, the company notified the CRTC (Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission) and Bruce Telecom of its intention to offer service in the 519-396 telephone exchange.

HuronTel, currently based in Ripley, Goderich and Wingham, will offer its full suite of services on its own fibre-optic facilities which it intends to build beginning April of 2015.

The company is excited to be adding Kincardine to its growing list of Smart Rural Communities, said Grubb.

HuronTel will be opening a business office at the corner of Lambton and Queen Streets in the Town of Kincardine this summer. Details will be provided to affected residents in advance of construction beginning in their neighbourhood.
