Huron-Bruce MPP makes statement about end of Ontario college faculty strike
The following is a statement by Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson regarding the passage of back-to-work legislation that ended the Ontario college faculty strike, Sunday, Nov. 19:

“Today, the Progressive Conservative (PC) Party voted in support of legislation that ended the longest Ontario college faculty strike in our province’s history.

“While it’s disappointing that it took the provincial government five weeks to take action— and the Liberals could have taken action back in October— what’s important is that on Tuesday, more than 500,000 students will return to the classroom to resume their studies.

“I appreciate the parents and students of Huron-Bruce who reached out to me regarding this matter. Their voices were indispensable in pressing this government to finally take action.”
