Kincardine Guiding enrolment welcomes 15 girls, one leader
Fifteen girls and one leader stood in front of a crowd and said their promise, during Kincardine Guiding enrolment held Tuesday night at Kincardine Baptist Church.
The event began with the Marching in of the Colours, followed by the singing of "O Canada," a welcome by Guider Liz Dadson and introduction of the other leaders, including Spark leader Mandy Cashen-Gayler, Brownie leaders Rebecca Jones and Jaci Rowe, and Guider Alicia Noakes.
Each unit conducted its regular opening and provided a description of the program. The Brownies then performed their play telling the story of Brownies through the adventures of Brooke and Cindy who visit their Grandmother and learn not only about Brownies but about themselves too.
The new girls and leader were enrolled, followed by the presentation of crests, badges and certificates, closings, campfire and refreshments.
Joining the Spark unit, are Clair Colling, Allie Dalcort, Madeline Hamilton, Piper Robertson, Sarah Moriarty and Britney Pink.
Joining the Brownies, are Abby Philipson, Amitola Reid, Katie Edey, Cassandra Weber, Peyton Gayler-Cashen and Victoria Helewn.
Joining the Guides, are Layla Moffatt, and Makayla and Mercedez Trepanier.
New Guider is Jaci Rowe.
Kincardine Sparks and Brownies meet Tuesday evenings, from 6-7:30 p.m., while the Guides meet Tuesday evenings, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., all at Kincardine Baptist Church.
