Huron OPP report theft, and mischief

THIEVES STEAL PROPANE TANK AND FOLDABLE BICYCLE  
 

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) - Huron County OPP officers are investigating a recent break, enter and theft that occurred at Meneset on the Lake just north of Goderich. 
 

Sometime between March 17-21, thieves located a locked Airstream mobile home on Iroquois Lane, were able to access the shroud of the trailer and stole a 30-pound Worthington propane tank valued at $350. They also found a key to the trailer and entered the home where they stole a Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) foldable bicycle valued at approximately $1,200. 
 

A suspicious red pick-up truck had been seen driving through the park around the time of the break and enter.
 

VEHICLES DAMAGED IN GODERICH OVER THE WEEKEND
 

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County OPP officers are seeking information from the public in relation to four separate incidents of mischief that occurred in Goderich over the weekend.
 

The owner of a Pontiac Montana mini-van reported her vehicle was parked in her driveway on Eldon Street and the rear window was smashed sometime between 9 p.m. March 21, and 3 p.m. March 22. Police suspect a blunt object was used to damage the rear window.   

A short distance away on South Street, the owner of a Hyundai Accent noticed the rear passenger side window of her vehicle was smashed out. Her vehicle had been parked on the street while she was at work. The damage was discovered around 10 p.m. March 21.
 

Also on South Street, another resident had her Hyundai Accent parked in her laneway overnight only to discover the next morning, March 21, the back windshield of her car had been smashed.

Lastly, not far away on Mary Street, a resident reported hearing some suspicious noises outside around 10:45 p.m. He later went out to check on the Dodge sedan parked in his laneway, only to find both tires on the driver’s side of the vehicle had been slashed with a sharp instrument.
