Retired KTTPS teacher, Marlene Campbell, dies at the age of 79
Marlene Ruth Campbell of Kincardine, died peacefully, with family by her side, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, in her 80th year.
Beloved wife of Donald Campbell.
Cherished mother of Susan (Jim) MacGregor of Fort Langley, B.C., Jamie (Corinna) Campbell of Milton, and Scott (Elizabeth) Campbell of Port Elgin.
Missed by her grandchildren, Madison, Jack, Seth, Ethan and Colin.
Dear sister-in-law of Norman Campbell of Port Elgin.
Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Marjorie Campbell (née Neil); in-laws, Howard and Minnie Campbell; sister-in-law, Jean Campbell; and brother-in-law, Jim Campbell.
A retired teacher, Marlene began her career in Neustadt before getting a job at Kincardine Township-Tiverton Public School where she taught from 1968-72 and then 1975-93 when she retired.
She was a director with the Tiverton Agricultural Society, a member of the Bruce Township Historical Society, and belonged to Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton.
Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, from 3-6 p.m.
The funeral to celebrate Marlene’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton, Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Jeanette Fleischer and Rev. David Chang officiating.
Memorial donations to Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church or the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
Interment, Tiverton Cemetery.
