South Bruce OPP report alcohol charge; impaired driver; and driver on closed road
DRIVER WILL TRY WALKING FOR SEVEN DAYS
(GREENOCK TWP, ON) - Jan. 3, at 1:44 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol, stopped a vehicle along Concession 10 in Greenock Township.
The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. A seven-day licence suspension was served following a warn range result at the roadside.
IMPAIRED DRIVER LOSES CONTROL
(BRANT TWP, ON) - Jan. 1, at 2:22 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a vehicle in the ditch along Concession 10 in Brant Township.
Officers arrived and determined that the driver had been drinking. Forty-eight-year-old Sandra SHANTZ of Brockton was charged with care or control over-80 milligrams. She is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 24, to answer to the charge.
DRIVER CHARGED FOR CHOOSING A CLOSED ROAD
(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) - Jan. 2, at 6:44 p.m., a South Bruce OPP on patrol along Highway 21 in Kincardine Township, saw a transport truck drive past a road closed barrier.
The truck was stopped and the driver, a 35-year-old Brampton man, was charged with drive on closed road. The truck got stuck on the closed road and a heavy tow was called to assist the driver.
